Every year, more than 3,000 women and their children seek domestic violence services through Laurel House. Laurel House also provides training to thousands of students, medical professionals, law enforcement officers and community members. Laurel House is a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving individuals, families and communities throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The agency’s name was selected because of the beauty of the laurel, Pennsylvania’s state flower. It represents a victory for people who have taken the courageous first step of reaching out to Laurel House in their efforts to build a violence-free life for themselves and their children.
Here at Jarrettown UMC, faithful volunteers help provide for the needs of the women and children at Laurel House by collecting donations throughout the year. The needs are great and often gift cards are easiest. Suggested are Gas, Grocery, Walmart, Target, Visa, etc. Click here for a list of household and personal items wish list that we collect (in the Mission Hallway) and deliver throughout the year.
At Laurel’s Loft, your generous donations keep our store full of quality items at affordable prices! Before you gather your donations, please click this link to see donation guidelines. This way you will know what we can and can not accept.
