“A Touch of Home” is a new JUMC outreach service project designed to provide homeless in our surrounding area with a few basics: comfort, healthy food, safety and LOVE.
To get our new “A Touch of Home” project going, we are having a hygiene kit packing day on Saturday morning, June 26. Our goal is to make 300 kits with items that our sources say are helpful to the homeless in our surrounding counties.
Thank you for all of your support in donations of items and money toward this new mission project. We will be using the other items that were mentioned in the near future.
The Items needed in time for the assembly event on Saturday, June 26 are:
- Water bottles
- Small hand lotions
- Travel size toothpaste
- Liquid soap or small bars preferred (or we can make full size work)
- Gallon zip lock baggies
We will be able to buy any supplies that aren’t collected with the money that has been donated and also through a grant from Thrivent. To sign up or if you have questions, contact the church office. We will be inside and wearing masks.
